- SENIORITY DEFINITION AND NOTICE. A. Full-Time Employees: Seniority is defined as an employee’s length of continuous service with the Employer from the employee’s date of original hire by the County, City of Xxxxxxxxx or City of Bettendorf as is set forth in Appendix A. All employees hired after July 1, 2010 will have their seniority based on hire date with SECC. The Union shall be furnished with a seniority list and job classifications of employees covered by this Agreement within thirty (30) days of July 1 each year. The same list shall be posted on a bulletin board in the work place. Employees shall have ten (10) days from the date of the posting to object to the seniority list. If objection is made and the Employer is unable to satisfy the objection within ten (10) days, the employee may file a grievance in accordance with the grievance procedure in the Agreement. Part-Time Employees: Regular part-time employee's seniority will be pro-rated on the basis of average hours worked per week (i.e. the employee’s established FTE level in the annual budget). Part-time employment will be counted toward seniority on a pro- rated basis in the event a part-time employee is assigned to full-time status in the bargaining unit.
