Common use of Sequencing and Coordination Clause in Contracts

Sequencing and Coordination. A. For each Task Order, the Work to be designed or specified by Engineer, upon which the Engineer's scope has been established, will be performed or furnished under one prime Construction Contract, unless specified otherwise in the Task Order. B. If the Work designed or specified by Engineer under a specific Task Order is to be performed or furnished under more than one prime Construction Contract, or if Engineer's services are to be separately sequenced with the work of one or more of Owner’s consultants or contractors (such as in the case of fast-tracking), then: 1. the Task Order’s Deliverables Schedule will account for the need to sequence and properly coordinate Engineer’s services as applicable to the Work under the Construction Contracts; or 2. If the Task Order does not address such sequencing and coordination, then Owner and Engineer will jointly develop a schedule for sequencing and coordination of services prior to commencement of final design services; this schedule is to be prepared and included in or become an amendment to the authorizing Task Order, whether the work under such contracts is to proceed concurrently or sequentially.
