Common use of Serious Injury Clause in Contracts

Serious Injury. If during the Period of Insurance an Accident occurs during the Effective Time and causes Bodily Injury to an Insured Person, Chubb will pay the Benefit Amount stated in the Schedule of Benefits. Any contributory degenerative condition or disablement (as determined by a Doctor) known by an Insured Person to be in existence at the time of sustaining Bodily Injury will be taken into account by Chubb in assessing the level of Benefit Amount payable for Permanent Disability.
