Service Credit for Vacation Purposes. Employees who are nine (9), ten (10) or eleven (11) month employees do not earn vacation during the period they are employed on such basis. When such employees become twelve (12) month employees, for the purpose of ascertaining their years of service credit for vacation purposes under Section 21.01, they shall be given credit for all months of prior continuous employment expressed in the term of years of service. (Example - assume an employee has worked for four (4) continuous years under ten (10) month contracts each year. This employee has forty (40) months of work which is equal to three and one-third (3-1/3) years of vacation service credit.) Each employee will be notified of the service credit being granted at the time of being given a twelve (12) month contract.
