Service Recognition Leave. (a) An Employee who has completed fifteen (15) years of service shall be granted a one (1) week paid leave of absence forty (40) hours in recognition of his service. The leave of absence shall be taken at a mutually agreeable time during the Employee’s sixteenth (16th) year of service. (b) An Employee who has completed twenty (20) years of service shall be granted a one (1) week paid leave of absence forty (40) hours in recognition of his service. The leave of absence shall be taken at a mutually agreeable time during the Employee’s twenty-first (21st) year of service. (c) An Employee who has completed twenty-five (25) years of service shall be granted a one (1) week paid leave of absence forty (40) hours in recognition of his service. The leave of absence shall be taken at a mutually agreeable time during the Employee’s twenty-sixth (26th) year of service. (d) An Employee who has completed thirty (30) years of service shall be granted a one (1) week paid leave of absence forty (40) hours in recognition of his service. The leave of absence shall be taken at a mutually agreeable time during the Employee’s thirty-first (31st) year of service. (e) An Employee who has completed thirty-five (35) years of service shall be granted a one (1) week paid leave of absence forty (40) hours in recognition of his service. The leave of absence shall be taken at a mutually agreeable time during the Employee’s thirty-sixth (36th) year of service. (f) An Employee who has completed forty (40) years of service shall be granted a one (1) week paid leave of absence forty (40) hours in recognition of his service. The leave of absence shall be taken at a mutually agreeable time during the Employee’s forty-first (41st) year of service.
Service Recognition Leave. 3.1 In recognition of years of service fifteen years and beyond, the following Service Recognition Leave will be posted to the employee’s leave bank: 15 years of service 24 hours 20 years of service 32 hours 25 years of service 40 hours 30 years of service 48 hours 3.2 Employees who, upon implementation of this benefit as of 7/1/1998, were not eligible to receive the benefit but were over 20 years of service, and did not subsequently receive their hours in accordance with the schedule above, shall receive the appropriate hours based upon their current years of service. This does not prevent an employee from receiving another benefit level after 7/1/2001 as provided above. 3.3 On July 1, 2001, employees who have completed over 15 years of service, and less than 20 years of service, shall receive one 24 hour increment of paid leave as of that date. 3.4 No employee shall receive pay in lieu of time off. This special leave will be posted by Payroll automatically upon obtaining the above level of service and must be used within one year of the date of posting.
