Common use of Severability of Agreement Clause in Contracts

Severability of Agreement. ‌ This Memorandum of Understanding is severable. Should any provision of this Agreement be found unlawful or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, or invalidated by subsequently enacted legislation, the remainder of the Agreement shall continue in force. Upon occurrence of such an event, the parties shall meet and confer as soon as practical to renegotiate the invalidated provision(s).
