Severance in Case of Death. In the event of the death of an Employee, the Employer shall pay to the Employee's designated beneficiary, or if no such designation was made by such Employee prior to death, to the Union in trust to be distributed to the Employee's estate, an amount equal to the amount of severance pay such Employee would have received had he or she been dismissed on the date of his or her death.
