Common use of Sheriff Clause in Contracts

Sheriff. If the grievance is not resolved at Step 2, the employee shall submit the grievance to the Sheriff or the Sheriff’s designee within five (5) calendar days of receipt of the Step 2 response. The Sheriff or the Sheriff’s designee shall meet the employee, and a designated representative of the Union if the employee desires, within seven (7) calendar days of submission of the grievance at Step 3 to discuss the grievance. The Sheriff or the Sheriff’s designee shall provide a written answer to the employee within five (5) calendar days of the meeting.
