Common use of Short Term Disability Benefits Clause in Contracts

Short Term Disability Benefits. a) A Teaching Faculty Member who is unable to perform their responsibilities due to illness or accident is eligible to receive one hundred percent (100%) salary for up to six (6) months, followed by seventy-five percent (75%) of salary for up to an additional six (6) months subject to meeting the eligibility and/or qualifying criteria under the applicable terms of the Short Term Disability Plan. b) At the expiry of this twelve (12) month period, the Teaching Faculty Member is eligible to apply for Long Term Disability under the Employer’s plan.
