Common use of Short Term Disability Leave Recovery Clause in Contracts

Short Term Disability Leave Recovery. An employee may use short term disability leave for time lost through accidental injuries. Should an employee, who is in receipt of paid short term disability leave benefits as a result of such injuries, commence an action for damages against a third party as a result of accidental injuries, and should that action include a claim for lost wages, the employee will enter into an agreement with the Employer to reimburse the Employer the full amount of all short term disability leave benefits received as a result of the employee’s absence from work.
