Common use of Sick Day Allowance Clause in Contracts

Sick Day Allowance. The Employee will be permitted to take up to FIVE (5) paid sick days per calendar year, provided that such entitlement will not be banked or carried over from one calendar year to the next. If, in any calendar year of employment hereunder, the Employee is employed for only a part of such year, such sick day entitlement will be prorated as though it were accruing from day to day.
