Common use of Sick Leave Benefit Plan Clause in Contracts

Sick Leave Benefit Plan. The Employer will provide a Sick Leave Benefit Plan, which will provide sick leave days and short-term disability coverage to provide protection against loss of income when ill, or injured as defined below. An employee, other than a temporary employee, as defined above, is eligible for benefits under this article. Sick leave days may be used for reasons of personal illness, personal injury, personal medical appointments, or personal dental emergencies only. Employees receiving benefit under Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, or under a LTD plan, are not entitled to benefits under the Employer’s sick leave and short-term disability plan for the same condition.
