Sign Up Procedure. Tuition and other reimbursable expenses must be approved in advance of the employee's commencement of the course. An employee must submit a "Request For Tuition Reimbursement" form (Appendix A) to his/her department head describing how the course is directly job related and how it will benefit both the employee and the City. In addition, the employee must include the cost of tuition. Preliminary approval to take the course must first be obtained from the department head and sent to the City Manager's office for final approval.
