Common use of Signing Period Clause in Contracts

Signing Period. The dates of the period in which Restricted Free Agents shall be free to negotiate and sign a Player Contract with any Club (the “Signing Period”) shall be agreed upon by the NFL and the NFLPA by the previous September 1, but in no event may such Signing Period be less than thirty-five days, nor may it end later than five days before the Draft for that League Year, unless the parties agree other- wise.
