Common use of Site of Assignment Clause in Contracts

Site of Assignment. In minimizing the necessity for layoffs, it may be necessary to transfer faculty to other District job sites than those upon which they have worked the majority of time for the prior three years or part thereof. If the distance to the new job site is more than 5 miles from the current site, the District shall pay non-instructional hourly plus mileage at the District travel rate for the weekly travel time and distance. The District shall make every effort to reinstate the entire assignment to the original location at the earliest possible date. The District and CTA shall meet annually to review the necessity for assignments away from the primary place of assignment when such involuntary transfers are in existence.
