Common use of Site Visits and Reports Clause in Contracts

Site Visits and Reports. i. The Architect and its Consultants shall visit the site at intervals appropriate to the stage of the Contractor’s operations, progress, and completion efforts, or as otherwise agreed by the Owner and Architect to: (1) become generally familiar with and to keep the Owner informed about the progress and quality of the portion of the Work completed; (2) endeavor to guard the Owner against defects and deficiencies in the Work; and (3) determine in general if the Work is being performed in a manner indicating that the Work, when fully completed, will be in accordance with the Contract Documents. The Architect shall carefully review the quality and quantity of the Work at least on a monthly basis as part of the Architect’s Basic Services and shall identify Work not in conformance with the Construction Documents. The Architect shall report to the Owner, in writing, known deviations from the Contract Documents and from the most recent construction schedule submitted by the Contractor.
