Childhood Diseases The sick leave bank shall not be charged for necessary absences up to five (5) days resulting from the following childhood diseases: chickenpox, conjunctivitis, measles, mumps, diphtheria, whooping cough, impetigo. In addition, the sick leave bank shall not be charged for three (3) days of absence for classroom teachers who contract head lice or ringworm on the job. The statement of a licensed physician shall be required as proof of the cause for each day of absence.
