Special leave – emergency services. (a) Employees who are volunteer members of a recognised emergency service group may be granted special leave for the purpose of attending training or emergency incidents occurring locally to the employee’s normal place of work or home in their capacity as a volunteer in any of these organisations. A maximum of 8 days may be taken in any calendar year for this purpose.
