Special Operations Captain. Department protocoled Paramedic and HazMat Tech Certification, or current EMT and HazMat Tech Certification and Associate’s Degree in Fire Science or EMS; and Rope Operations, Dive Rescue, Confined Space Operations and Technician; or
Special Operations Captain. (a) Current employment with the County and twelve (12) months continuous service as a Captain; and
(b) Current Department protocoled Paramedic; and
(c) HazMat Tech Certification; and
(d) Department approved Dive Rescue Certification; and
(e) FLUSAR Rescue Specialist Certification; and
(f) State Certified Fire Instructor I or higher; and
(g) State Certified Fire Officer II or higher.
