SPECIAL or EXTENDED LEAVE. (a) Special or extended leave may be granted by the manager in exceptional circumstances and in response to demonstrated special need which falls outside of other leave categories or entitlements. Such leave may be paid or unpaid as agreed, and the reasons for its approval will be clearly documented in personnel/payroll records
