Caseload. In the event a workload measurement tool is developed the Employer will provide as much notice as is reasonable and possible to the local union of the implementation date and the method and parameters of implementation.
Caseload. Section 1: The Company and the union agree that there is a jointly-held interest in Employees receiving full-time work whenever possible; that Employees work as many hours as they are able and willing to work, up to 40 hours per week; that the Employer be able to serve as many hours as it is authorized to provide; and that clients receive their hours of care and support when they want them. There is established a Full Employment Initiative, with the following goals: a. To bridge the current gap between the stated availability of employees and the stated desire and service hour preference of Addus clients. b. To have, within three years, eighty-five percent of employees working at the level of hours they desire to work. c. To have, within three years, a consistent agency record of being able to service at least ninety percent of all hours authorized to Addus. The local labor management committee will design and implement the details of the initiative, including measurable objectives toward achieving the Initiative’s goals. Section 2: The Company agrees to continue its practice of caseload flexibility. Caseload assignments shall be made in accordance with such criteria as mutual acceptability and compatibility of client and employee, special needs involved, special skills required, the number of hours the employee is willing to handle, location, length of commute and similar factors. Section 3: It is recognized that the Company may discontinue an employee’s assignments in accordance with such criteria as mutual acceptability and compatibility of client and employee, special needs and special skills required by the case. The Company will make every reasonable effort to avoid such instances of discontinuation, but in such circumstances where it is necessary, the Company shall make its’ best efforts to provide such employee with a comparable assignment, when available. Section 4: When an employee wants an additional assignment, a change of assignment, or additional hours, the employee shall contact his or her supervisor who will enter the employees’ name into a log kept for this purpose. The employee is encouraged to submit any assignment requests in writing. Section 5: The Company agrees to maintain a log of available employees. Wherever practicable, assignments shall be made from this file in accordance with the Company’s evaluation of each case’s complexity. Caseload. 7.1 A full-time employee (other than a Unit Head, Midwifery Caseload Practice) is one who is available to carry a caseload of 40 booked clients/patients full care during the course of any full calendar or financial year. In interpreting the application of the Award and other conditions based on the ordinary hours of work, this caseload will equate to an employee (other than a Unit Head, Midwifery Caseload Practice) working a 38 hour week that is a full time employee under the Award. 7.2 The full time equivalent caseload for a Unit Head, Midwifery Caseload Practice will be 10 patients/clients for full care during the course of any full calendar or financial year. The span of control of a Unit Head, Midwifery Caseload Practice, will be 4 teams of midwives, made up of up to 6 full time equivalents. 7.3 A part time employee will receive pay and conditions, as well as allocation of work on a proportional basis. 7.4 In addition to the caseload limits set by this clause 7, during absences of other employees due to planned or unplanned leave of 1 week or less, employees’ (other than the Unit Head) caseloads may be increased to a maximum of 56 clients/patients. However, the caseload will not exceed 46 clients/patients on average over the year. The caseload for a Unit Head may vary up to 20 clients/patients on average due to the absence of other staff.
Caseload. 1. Special Education, Specialists, and Educational Staff Associates (ESAs) a. KSD and KEA recognize that a reasonable school class size or caseload ratio is desirable and that the extensive demands of students with special needs require considerable plan development and implementation, individual time with students, and creates a higher workload, and that specialists who deal with broad portions of the student population must have responsibility to serve reasonable numbers of students in order to be effective. KSD and KEA believe that class-size and caseload ratio must reflect individual school needs and unique problems. The staffing allocation to the buildings will be based on staff to student ratios and will be monitored for consistency with District goals. b. Itinerant support personnel may initiate caseload concerns in writing to the Inclusive Education administrator and the ESA Workgroup Lead. The Lead will work with members of the workgroup to address the concern. If after (5) days the concern is not addressed, the employee may submit their concerns to the superintendent’s designee advising them of the concern and of the decision or action taken by the administrator. The superintendent’s designee will respond within five (5) days to the employee recommending a disposition of the concern consistent with the District program and mission and within budgetary, contractual, and legal constraints. When resolving caseload concerns, district averages will be used for nurses. c. The MLE program administrator will respond to MLE caseload issues within five (5) school days. MLE caseloads for buildings exceeding district caseload guidelines will be remedied by the MLE program administrator within ten (10) school days. d. The following are caseloads: Nurse 1:1500 students OT 30 students PT 30 students SLP 45 students *Students on an IEP who receive OT/PT/SLP services, directly or indirectly, at least monthly will count for these numbers. MLE (elementary) 90 students MLE (secondary) 75 students All students who qualify for MLE services will count for these numbers.
