Common use of Special Shift Work Clause in Contracts

Special Shift Work. A Special Shift (single shift) - when remodeling or alteration work cannot be performed on the regular day shift because establishments cannot suspend business operations during the day, then the Contractor, prior to starting the job, shall notify the Union that he will work a special (single) shift(s). If a plasterer has worked a regular day shift and is required to work a special shift in the same day, the special shift work shall be at the overtime rate.
