SPECIAL TIME OFF. 12.15.1 If the work schedule of a unit member is such that it does not allow sufficient time to vote in any federal, state, or local election in which the employee is entitled to vote, the District shall arrange to allow only sufficient time for such voting by the member without loss of pay. 12.15.2 Unit members whose normal working hours fall during a regular or special general Union meeting shall be allowed to leave their jobs, with prior notification to their supervisors, to attend the meeting. These unit members shall sign an attendance roster at the Chapter meeting, which shall be available for the District to verify their attendance, and shall be responsible for working whatever time is needed to complete their regular duties, such makeup time not to exceed the amount of time taken off to attend the meeting.
