Specially Approved Rates Sample Clauses

Specially Approved Rates. Specially Approved Rates (SAR) are used when the standard rental payment needs to be adjusted for an individual Service person. This might be because they are renting significantly below the benchmark, or because their specific needs mean the standard rental payment is not enough. If Service personnel are having difficulty sourcing a property around the cost of their entitled benchmark due to the specific needs of their family2, they will be required to provide robust evidence of this to the Accommodation Support Cell. This evidence will be considered by the TLB Housing Colonel and the Service person may meet the criteria for a SAR. If approved, the SAR may be offered either as an uplift to the next rental payment Band or via a bespoke rate. If Service personnel with a standard entitlement and no specific needs are struggling to find a suitable property, the Accommodation Support Cell and People-Accommodation should consider whether the standard rental payment needs an exceptional adjustment before use of a SAR is considered.
