Common use of Specific Safeguards Clause in Contracts

Specific Safeguards. Without prejudice to the other provisions of this Agreement and, in particular Article 22, and given the particular sensitivity of the agricultural products as referred to in Article 9, if imports of products originating in a Party, which are subject to concessions granted under this Agreement, cause serious disturbances to the markets of the other Party, the Party concerned may take appropriate measures under the conditions and in accordance with the procedures laid down in Article 22 of this Agreement.

Specific Safeguards. Without prejudice to the Notwithstanding other provisions of this Agreement andAgreement, in particular Article 2229 of this Agreement, and given the particular sensitivity of the agricultural products as referred to in Article 9products, if imports of products originating in a one Party, which are subject to concessions of concessions, granted under this Agreement, cause serious disturbances to the markets market of the other Party, the Party concerned shall enter into prompt consultations to find an appropriate solution. Pending such solution, the Party concerned may take appropriate measures under the conditions and in accordance with the procedures laid down in Article 22 of this Agreementit deems necessary.
