Standby/On Call. Where a Nurse is assigned to be on standby or on call outside of her regularly scheduled working hours, she shall receive on call pay in the amount of three dollars and fifty cents ($3.50) per hour for the period.
Standby/On Call. A standby on-call shift is a scheduled time outside the employee’s scheduled work hours during which the employee is available for a call in to work.
Standby/On Call. An Employee who is required to remain available for duty on standby, outside of his/her scheduled shift, shall receive standby pay in the amount of: Effective April 1, 2010 $3.50 per hour, for the period of standby scheduled by the Employer. Where such standby duty falls on a paid holiday, the Employee shall receive standby pay in the amount of: Effective April 1, 2010 $4.50 per hour, for the period of standby scheduled by the Employer. If the Employee is called to work from standby, she shall cease receiving standby premium for those hours that she works during the period of standby.
Standby/On Call. (a) The Hospital agrees that standby will be distributed as equitably as possible among the qualified employees who normally perform the work. It is understood that different unit/programs will distribute standby by differing processes according to the unit/program requirements.
(b) Employees may exchange or give away standby duty with the mutual consent of employees involved and the approval of the Manager.
(c) In the event an employee is required to work for a period greater than sixteen
Standby/On Call. Any Registered Nurse who is required to be on standby/on-call while off the premises shall be paid at the rate of twenty-five percent (25%) of the nurse’s hourly rate for all hours the nurse remains on standby/on-call. Employees who are authorized by management to receive work-related phone calls at home in lieu of returning to the work site shall be compensated at time and one-half (1½) of their base hourly rate for time actually spent addressing the call. When on standby/on-call, the employee shall remain within a reasonable distance from the work site and inform the designated supervisor or management person of where they may be reached.
Standby/On Call. Employees who are placed on standby shall be compensated for time on call at the rate of two and 50/100 dollars ($2.50) per hour. Employees who are actually called back to work shall be compensated pursuant to the Call-Back Pay article. Call-Back pay and/or overtime cannot be earned concurrently with Standby pay. Employees who are placed on standby to receive work related phone calls at home shall be compensated at time and one half (1 ½) for time actually spent on the call (this compensation is irrespective of any non-productive time which may have been worked on that day or in that week.) Compensation for phone calls shall be earned concurrently with Standby pay. When on standby, the employee shall remain within a reasonable distance so as to be able to report in a timely manner, shall inform the designated management or supervisory person of exactly where the employee may be reached at any time, and shall be in a fit condition to report to work.
Standby/On Call. 1. a) i) The bargaining unit president and the nurses of the unit/program/floor shall be consulted for their input prior to the implementation of standby/on call arrangements.

The minimum call-in hours provided herein shall not apply when the employee reports for work in advance of the assigned shift and continues working through the entire scheduled shift. This provision shall apply only to employees who have discontinued work and left the Employer’s premises.

(b) When a nurse is assigned standby and receives a telephone call that requires telephone consultation and does not require the nurse to attend to a patient, the nurse shall be paid her regular straight time hourly rate for the duration of any call exceeding fifteen (15) minutes, including the completion of related paperwork. Such telephone consultation will not be considered call-back nor be used to calculate hours of work earned toward overtime in the day/pay period.
