Common use of Standby Week Clause in Contracts

Standby Week. For the purpose of this Section 13.7.1 (Standby Week), a week shall mean the seven (7) consecutive calendar days following assignment to standby service. In the case of emergencies, the Senior Supervisor or Superintendent may assign another employee to complete the standby week for the originally assigned employee. In that case, the ten (10) hours standby compensation will be pro-rated between the employees.
