Starting Salaries. (a) A member’s starting salary will usually be the base salary for the rank at which the member was hired. However a member may be hired beyond the base salary for the particular rank based on the member’s relevant experience and prevailing market conditions. (b) The rationale for the starting salary, including the number of years of relevant previous experience, shall be included in the member’s letter of appointment.
