Common use of STATE SECURITY Clause in Contracts

STATE SECURITY. 12.1 Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed to require the Council to do or refrain from doing anything contrary to any instructions, regulations, or directions given or made by or on behalf of the Government of Canada in the interest of the safety and security of Canada or any state allied or associated with Canada.

ARTICLE PRECEDENCE OF LEGISLATION In the event that any law passed by Parliament applying to employees of the Council covered by this Agreement, renders null and void any provision of this Agreement, the remaining provisions of the Agreement shall remain in effect for the term of the Agreement.
