Health, Safety and Security 22.2.1 The University and the Association agree to promote safe, secure and healthy working conditions and procedures, and to encourage Members to adopt and follow sound health, safety and security procedures in the performance of their work.
Aviation safety (1) Each Contracting Party may request consultations at any time concerning the safety standards maintained by the other Contracting Party in areas relating to aeronautical facilities, flight crew, aircraft and the operation of aircraft. Such consultations shall take place within thirty (30) days of that request.
Safety and Security Contractor is responsible for maintaining safety in the performance of this Contract. Contractor shall be responsible for complying with the District’s rules and regulations pertaining to safety, security, and driving on school grounds, particularly when children are present.
Complaints Against Teachers When a person makes a written or verbal complaint against a teacher, the principal or designee shall promptly notify the teacher of the complaint, the identity of the complainant, and the teacher shall be given the opportunity to respond. The principal or designee shall investigate the complaint and attempt to resolve the complaint informally if appropriate.
Contractor Security Clearance Customers may designate certain duties and/or positions as positions of “special trust” because they involve special trust responsibilities, are located in sensitive locations, or have key capabilities with access to sensitive or confidential information. The designation of a special trust position or duties is at the sole discretion of the Customer. Contractor or Contractor’s employees and Staff who, in the performance of this Contract, will be assigned to work in positions determined by the Customer to be positions of special trust, may be required to submit to background screening and be approved by the Customer to work on this Contract.
ATM Safety It is important to be aware of your surroundings when using an ATM, especially at night. When you are using an ATM, you should secure any cash you withdraw before leaving the ATM. If you need to use an ATM at night, consider taking someone you know with you, and only use an ATM that is well-lit and unobstructed from view. If anything appears to be suspicious, do not use the ATM. Always call 911 in the event of an emergency or to report any suspicious activity. CRIMES AGAINST CHILDREN In accordance with RCW 28A.400.330, employees, agents, and contractors of the NWESD and District are prohibited from working at a public school if they have or may have contact with children at a public school during the course of their employment and have pleaded guilty to or been convicted of the crimes identified in RCW 28A.400.322. Any failure to comply with this section shall be grounds for the District immediately terminating the contract.
Expenditure on Safety Requirements All costs and expenses arising out of or relating to Safety Requirements shall be borne by the Concessionaire to the extent such costs and expenses form part of the works and services included in the Scope of the Project, and works and services, if any, not forming part of the Scope of the Project shall be undertaken in accordance with the provisions of Article 16. Costs and expenses on works and services not covered hitherto before and arising out of Safety Requirements shall, subject to the provisions of Clause 16.3.2, be borne from out of a dedicated safety fund (the “Safety Fund”) to be funded, owned and operated by the Authority or a substitute thereof.
Safety; Security Contractor’s failure to comply with any of the requirements in this Section shall be cause for termination.
Cooperation on Safety The Employer and Union will cooperate in continuing and perfecting regulations which will afford adequate protection to employees engaged in hazardous areas.
