(Step 1) Informal Procedure, Oral Discussion. The employee shall first discuss the alleged grievance with his/her immediate supervisor. This shall be done within thirty (30) calendar days after the occurrence or knowledge of the occurrence giving rise to the alleged grievance. The employee may have a Council representative present during this discussion. "Immediate supervisor" shall be defined as one who is a member of the District's management staff who is separate and apart from the bargaining unit.
