Grievance Defined. A grievance is defined as an alleged breach of the terms and conditions of this Agreement. It is the desire of the parties to this Agreement that grievances be adjusted informally wherever possible and at the first level of supervision.
Grievance Defined. A grievance is defined as a written complaint alleging that there has been a violation, misinterpretation or misapplication of any condition of employment contained in this Agreement, or of any rule, policy or regulation of the Employer deemed to be a violation of this Agreement or a claim of discipline without just cause. Nothing shall prohibit the grievant from contending that the alleged violation of the Agreement arises out of an existing mutually accepted past practice. The concept of past practice shall not apply to matters which are solely operational in nature.
Grievance Defined. (a) A grievance means any difference or dispute between the Employer and any Employee(s), or the union.

A grievance shall be defined as a dispute or disagreement raised by any employee against the Employer involving the interpretation or application of the specific provisions of this agreement, and all disciplinary actions; provided, however, that a grievance shall not include any matter which is not within the authority of the Employer to act.

A grievance shall be defined as any dispute between the Union and the District or an employee (or employees) and the District, relating to actions (or inactions) of the District in its application, meaning, interpretation, or enforcement of this MOU, and excludes those items which are excluded from the grievance procedure and/or for which the decision of the General Manager is final. Performance evaluations are not subject to the grievance procedure.

Grievance Defined. A grievance is defined as any alleged breach by the Employer of any express term of this Agreement. If any such grievance arises, it shall be submitted to the following procedure. In order to be subject to the following procedure, any grievance must be submitted at the first applicable step within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date when the employee or the Union was aware, or reasonably should have been aware, that a grievance existed. All grievances not filed within the fourteen (14) day period are deemed waived by the aggrieved party.
