Steps for Local Shared Decision-Making Implementation. 1. SELECT A PROPOSAL WRITING TEAM: A proposal writing team will be selected at any school site wishing to develop a Shared Decision-Making proposal. This team will be selected through a democratic election, supervised by UTR faculty representatives. The proposal writing team will be selected from the certificated staff and should include the UTR Faculty Representative and the Principal/Supervisor or designee. The proposal writing team will develop a method of soliciting input from and reporting to the staff as a whole. The proposal writing team may appeal to the DSACC for training and assistance as needed. The team chair shall notify the DSACC of its intent to submit a Shared Decision-Making proposal and will arrange a meeting with a member or members of the DSACC, including representatives from UTR and the District, to review the Shared Decision-Making proposal guidelines, and answer questions. The DSACC shall be available as a resource for facilitating the process.
