Abiding by the school’s Mobile Phone Policy · Asking staff before using ICT equipment or downloading programs, including games, music and videos. Agreeing to place ICT equipment away from work area if requested. Avoiding the use of social media to contact other students while at school, in other classes, or if away from school. In addition, when I use my personal mobile phone, iPod, iPad, laptop or other mobile device at school, I agree to be a safe, responsible and ethical user at all times, by: · Respecting others and communicating with them in a supportive manner through phone calls/texts/images. Power cords must be left at home.  Parents/guardians and students should be aware that files stored on the device, or on the schools server are not private.  Access to the devices must be granted to the IT staff when required. Damage or loss of equipment:  All devices and batteries are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty. The warranty covers manufacturer’s defects. It may not cover accidental, malicious or careless damage.  Any problems, vandalism, damage, loss or theft of the device that takes place outside of school hours should be managed at home.  Any problems, vandalism, damage, loss or theft of the device that takes place at school should be reported immediately to the teacher.  In case of suspected theft, a police report must be made by the family and a copy of the report provided to the insurer, if the family has taken out theft insurance.  Loss or damage to equipment is the responsibility of the owner.  All queries regarding warranty and insurance should be directed to your supplier. Definition of Digital Technologies: This Acceptable Use Agreement applies to digital technologies, social media tools and learning environments established by our school or accessed using school owned networks or systems, including (writtenbut not limited to):  School and student owned devices (e.g. desktops, laptops, iPads, printers, scanners) consent from individuals who appear in images or sound  Mobile phones  Email and video recordings before forwarding them to other people or posting/uploading them to online spacesinstant messaging  Internet  Social networking sites  Video and photo sharing websites (x.x. . Not using iPads or computers outside the buildings. Not using mobile devices for messagingXxxxxx, making calls or social networking while at school.You Tube)  Blogs  Forums, discussion boards (e.g. Google Groups)  Video and Podcasts  Video conferences and web conference

STUDENT DECLARATION. This Acceptable Use Agreement applies when I am using any of the above digital technologies at school, during school excursions, camps and extra-curricular activities. I understand and agree to comply with the terms of acceptable use and expected standards of behaviour set out within this agreement. I understand that there are actions and consequences established within the College’s behavioural policies if I do not behave appropriately. (E.g. see Section C below.) I understand that I cannot use any school digital equipment until my parent/guardian and I have read, discussed and signed my Acceptable Use Agreement (see Section E). THINK before you post, being mindful that what you write or participate in online is positive. · Respecting the privacy of others; only taking photos or recording sound or video at school when I have formal consent or it is part of an approved lesson. · Obtaining appropriate (written) consent from individuals who appear in images or sound and video recordings before forwarding them to other people or posting/uploading them to online spaces. . • Not using iPads or computers outside the buildings. Internet for any purpose involving any type of trading (e.g. any financial dealings, bartering etc), unless authorized to do so by a College authority (e.g. senior students in relation to matters concerning Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre process) • Not using a mobile devices phone during school hours (8.30am - 3.20pm). Mobile phones must be kept o nsilent mode and kept out of sight during classroom lessons and college activities.
