Substituting on Preparation Periods. 28.10.1 Teachers may substitute during their preparation period and receive either compensation time or monetary compensation. The monetary compensation will be at the Stanislaus County Substitute Rate prorated for time worked. Compensation time may be accumulated and can be used in one (1) period/equivalent increments, not to exceed two (2) consecutive days. Prep period will not be docked. A sub emergency will be declared by the site principal or designee when there are one or more classes which do not have a sub. This will only occur when the administration has: 1. Utilized substitutes 2. Asked for volunteers 3. Utilized appropriate certificated staff 4. Utilized available administrative staff At least one administrator must remain available to be in charge of the school for emergencies. A rotating list of teachers, based upon reverse seniority, will be utilized.
