Meal Period. A Contractor shall schedule an unpaid period of not more than 1/2 hour duration at the work location between the 3rd and 5th hour of the scheduled shift. A Contractor may, for efficiency of operation, establish a schedule which coordinates the meal periods of two or more crafts. If an employee is required to work through the meal period, the employee shall be compensated in a manner established in the applicable Schedule A.
Meal Period. Employees shall receive a meal period which shall commence no less than two (2) hours nor more than five (5) hours from the beginning of the employee's regular shift or when the employee is called in to work on their regular day off. The meal period shall be no less than one-half (½) hour nor more than one (1) hour in duration and shall be without compensation. Should an employee be required to work in excess of five (5) continuous hours from the commencement of their regular shift without being provided a meal period, the employee shall be compensated two (2) times the employee's straight-time hourly rate of pay for the time worked during their normal meal period and be afforded a meal period at the first available opportunity during working hours without compensation.
Meal Period. (a) A person working a daily shift of five (5), but less than seven (7) hours shall have one (1) uninterrupted meal period of thirty (30) minutes without pay.
(b) A meal period without pay for employees working a daily shift of seven (7) hours or more shall be of not more than sixty (60) minutes' and not less than thirty (30) minutes' uninterrupted duration and shall start not earlier than three (3) hours nor later than five (5) hours after commencement of the employee's shift.
(c) Times at which such meal periods are taken shall be scheduled by the Co-operative.
Meal Period. Allowable meal period may not be counted as work time for any purpose. The performer’s first meal period must commence within six (6) hours following the time of his/her first call for the day; succeeding meal periods should commence within six (6) hours after the end of the preceding meal period. An allowable meal period may not less than one-half hour and not more than one (1) hour in length. Producer will immediately be liable for $25.00 in liquidated damages due each affected performer for each half-hour of delay or fraction thereof.
Meal Period. Employees shall be granted a meal period of not less than thirty (30) minutes nor more than one
(1) hour unless mutually agreed otherwise. Meal periods shall be scheduled at approximately the mid-period of the workday. If an employee is required by their supervisor to continue working through lunch, and an alternate lunch cannot be provided during the employee’s scheduled shift, the employee shall have such time counted as hours worked.
Meal Period. A one-hour lunch period will be provided and taken within the three middle hours of a regular workday of more than six hours worked; precise time to be arranged between the Employer and the employees.
Meal Period. Non-exempt staff who work during their regularly scheduled meal period will, at the option of the University, be paid in accordance with the Federal Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Exempt staff shall be granted a meal period, during which time they shall remain available to respond to calls from the employer, unless the employee arranges for qualified coverage in his or her absence.
Meal Period. Employees shall not be required to work more than five (5) hours from the start of the shift without at least a one-half (1/2) hour unpaid break for lunch. This lunch period shall not begin earlier than three and one-half (3 ½) hours after the start of the shift. In the event that Employer establishes a ten (10) hour shift, the meal periods shall be at mid-shift. Employees meals may be staggered during the period of three and one-half (3 ½) to five (5) hours form the start of their shift to cover necessary work of a continuous nature.
Meal Period. Except in cases of emergency, or unforeseen similar circumstances, every full-time teacher shall be entitled to an uninterrupted meal period, of fifty-five (55) minutes duration, between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. daily, unless the majority of the teachers in a particular school and the administration responsible for that school agree to a different arrangement respecting lunch periods.
Meal Period. In place of the meal provisions of Article 18:01(1)(i), Regular Shift Employees will receive a paid meal period of one-half (½) hour included as part of their regular scheduled work period which shall be taken at the work site or as directed by the Employees' Immediate Supervisor.
