SUSTAINABLE DESIGN. 8.1 The Professional shall provide an integrative design approach to deliver a sustainable design for all projects. The integrative design approach shall be a collaborative and iterative process involving all project team members. The Professional shall assemble the members of this integrative design project team and shall meet throughout the various design phases and periodically during construction to ensure follow-through. The Professional, as the leader of the integrative design project team, shall employ strategies, tools and software as needed to optimize building performance. The Professional shall assess the many attributes of the building design including orientation, solar gain, on-site wind, shading and daylighting/glare design and control to optimize building performance.
