Sustainable Development. 4.1 The Authority will review the Contractor’s Sustainable Development Policy Statement and Sustainable Development Plan submitted by the Contractor in accordance with the Schedule (Sustainable Development Requirements) and then at least annually thereafter. 4.2 Sustainable Procurement Risk Assessment Methodology (SPRAM) is a tool used by the Authority to identify and mitigate any potential risks to sustainability in contracts. The process requires that each Contract be assessed for its potential social, economic and environmental risks, throughout the various stages of its lifetime. Where risks are identified, appropriate mitigation action is required to reduce or eliminate the risk to sustainability. The Authority may at times require input from the Contractor in order to ensure that this process is given the required levels of consideration.

Sustainable Development. 1. The Parties reaffirm that the objective of sustainable development is to be applied and integrated at every level of their economic partnership, in fulfilment of the overarching commitments set out in Articles 1, 2 and 9 of the Cotonou Agreement, and especially the general commitment to reducing and eventually eradicating poverty in a way that is consistent with the objectives of sustainable development. 2. The Parties understand this objective to apply in the case of the present Economic Partnership Agreement as a commitment that: (a) the application of this Agreement shall fully take into account the human, cultural, economic, social, health and environmental best interests of their respective population and of future generations; (b) decision-taking methods shall embrace the fundamental principles of ownership, participation and dialogue. 3. As a result the Parties agree to work cooperatively towards the realisation of a sustainable development centred on the human person, who is the main beneficiary of development.
Sustainable Development. 19.1 The Supplier shall comply in all material respects with applicable environmental and social Law requirements in force from time to time in relation to the Services. Where the provisions of any such Law are implemented by the use of voluntary agreements, the Supplier shall comply with such agreements as if they were incorporated into English law subject to those voluntary agreements being cited in the Specification and Tender Response Document. Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, the Supplier shall: 19.1.1 comply with all Policies and/or procedures and requirements set out in the Specification and Tender Response Document in relation to any stated environmental and social requirements, characteristics and impacts of the Services and the Supplier’s supply chain; 19.1.2 maintain relevant policy statements documenting the Supplier’s significant social and environmental aspects as relevant to the Services being provided and as proportionate to the nature and scale of the Supplier’s business operations; and 19.1.3 maintain plans and procedures that support the commitments made as part of the Supplier’s significant social and environmental policies, as referred to at Clause 19.1.2 of this Schedule 2. 19.2 The Supplier shall meet reasonable requests by the Authority for information evidencing the Supplier’s compliance with the provisions of Clause 19 of this Schedule 2.
Sustainable Development. 28.1 The Practitioner acknowledges that AXA PPP adheres to certain principles and practices designed to ensure that AXA PPP does business in a socially responsible manner by promoting sustainable development in its business through commitments towards its principal stakeholders (clients, suppliers, employees, environment, shareholders and community) as more fully set forth in the AXA Compliance and Ethics Guide located at xxxx://xxx.xxx.xxx/en/governance/disclosure/ethics. AXA PPP encourages the parties with whom it contracts to be socially and environmentally responsible and, in particular, seeks open dialogue with them on these issues. AXA PPP reserves its right to terminate this Agreement for convenience without liability of any kind (other than payment of amounts due and owing for Treatment provided through the date of termination) and/or implement an AXA Group-wide prohibition on entering into future contracts with the Practitioner in the event AXA PPP determines, after discussion with the Practitioner, that the Practitioner’s business practices are contrary to the principles and practices set forth in the AXA Compliance and Ethics Guide. 28.2 In addition, as part of AXA PPP's principles and practices of sustainable development, AXA PPP requires parties with whom it contracts to observe the following three main specific International Labour Organization (ILO) principles: (i) refrain from using, or accepting that their own suppliers and sub-contractors make use of child labour (under 15 years of age) or forced labour; (ii) ensure staff safe and healthy working conditions and environment, respecting individual and collective liberties; and (iii) promote non-discrimination (sex, race, religion or political conviction) as regards staff recruitment and management. In the event that AXA PPP notifies the Practitioner or the Practitioner becomes aware that any of its practice is contrary to the foregoing ILO principles, the Practitioner agrees to remedy the practice in question and notify AXA PPP of the solution. In the event that the Practitioner does not appropriately address the issue in question or there are subsequent repeated violations, AXA PPP reserves its right to terminate this Agreement for convenience without liability of any kind (other than payment of amounts due and owing for services rendered through the date of termination).

Sustainable Development. 1. The Parties reaffirm their commitment to meet the needs of today without compromising the needs of future generations. They recognise that, to be viable over the longer term, economic growth should respect the principles of sustainable development. 2. The Parties shall continue to promote the responsible and efficient use of resources and raise awareness of the economic and social costs of environmental damage and its associated impact on human well-being. 3. The Parties shall continue to encourage efforts to promote sustainable development through dialogue, the sharing of best practices, good governance and sound financial management. 4. The Parties share a common goal of reducing poverty and supporting inclusive economic development around the globe, and shall endeavour to work together whenever possible to achieve this aim. 5. For this purpose, the Parties shall establish a regular policy dialogue on development cooperation in order to improve policy coordination on common issues of interest and to improve the quality and effectiveness of their development cooperation, in line with internationally accepted principles on aid effectiveness. The Parties shall work together to strengthen accountability and transparency with a focus on improving development results, and shall recognise the importance of engaging a range of actors, including the private sector and civil society, in development cooperation. 6. The Parties recognise the importance of the energy sector to economic prosperity and international peace and stability. They agree on the need to improve and diversify energy supplies, promote innovation and increase energy efficiency in order to strengthen energy opportunity, energy security, and sustainable and affordable energy. The Parties shall maintain a high-level dialogue on energy and continue to collaborate through bilateral and multilateral means in order to support open and competitive markets, share best practices, promote science-based, transparent regulation, and discuss areas of cooperation on energy issues. 7. The Parties attach great importance to the protection and conservation of the environment and recognise the need for high standards of environmental protection in order to conserve the environment for future generations. 8. Sustainable Development. 1. The Contracting Parties are committed to promote the development of international investment in such a way as to contribute to the objective of sustainable development. 2. Each Contracting Party shall ensure that its investment laws and policies provide for and encourage high levels of environmental and labor protection and shall strive to continue to improve those laws and policies and their underlying levels of protection. 3. The Contracting Parties recognize that it is inappropriate to lower the levels of protection afforded by domestic environmental or labor laws in order to encourage investment. 4. A Contracting Party shall not adopt and apply domestic laws contributing to the objective of sustainable development in a manner that would constitute unjustifiable discrimination or a disguised restriction on trade. 5. Within the scope and application of this Agreement, the Contracting Parties reaffirm their obligations under the multilateral agreements in the field of environmental protection, labor standards and the protection of human rights to which they are party, such as the Paris Agreement, the fundamental ILO Conventions and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Furthermore, each Contracting Party shall continue to make sustained efforts towards ratifying the fundamental ILO Conventions that it has not yet ratified. 6. The Contracting Parties are committed to cooperate as appropriate on investment- related sustainable development matters of mutual interest in multilateral fora.
Sustainable Development. 1. The Parties welcome the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its sustainable development goals (SDGs) adopted by the United Nations General Assembly and pledge to work towards their fulfilment both nationally and internationally. 2. They agree on the importance of eradicating poverty in all its forms and achieving sustainable development in its economic, social and environmental dimensions in a balanced and integrated manner. To that end, they reaffirm their commitment to implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, in accordance with their respective capabilities and circumstances. 3. The Parties recognise that all 17 SDGs of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development need to be implemented in order to successfully achieve sustainable development. They agree to exchange views on the best ways to work together in order to achieve the SDGs by, inter alia: (a) promoting the eradication of poverty, hunger, illiteracy and poor health, and ensuring sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth for all; (b) giving due priority to the joint resolution of all environmental problems, including climate change, and promoting the sustainable management and use of water, seas and terrestrial ecosystems; (c) working together for the empowerment of women, the reduction of inequality between and within countries, the facilitation of access to justice for all and the creation of accountable, effective and inclusive institutions at all levels. 4. The Parties agree to establish a dedicated dialogue on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in order to identify ways to improve practical cooperation between them within the overall framework of political dialogue. The agenda for each dialogue session shall be agreed between the Parties. 5. The Parties commit to strengthening the global partnership for development, promoting policy coherence at all levels and developing a comprehensive innovative approach for the mobilisation and effective use of all available public, private, internal and international resources as set out in the Addis Ababa Programme of Action on financing for development. 6. The Parties recognise the need to regularly follow up and review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Addis Ababa Programme of Action on financing for development at global level under the UN High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, including on means of implementation, as well as at the national and regional levels, as a...
