Common use of System Emergencies Clause in Contracts

System Emergencies. In the event of a System Emergency, the ISO shall have the authority and responsibility to take all actions necessary and shall direct the restoration of the ISO Controlled Grid to service following any interruption associated with a System Emergency. The ISO shall also have the authority and responsibility, consistent with Section 4 and Section 9, to act to prevent System Emergencies. Actions and directions by the ISO pursuant to this Section 5.1.8 shall be consistent with Section 5.1.3, Duty of Care.
