TAXES, FEES AND LICENSES. Taxes: Where required by state statute, ordinance or regulation, the Contractor shall pay for and maintain in current status all taxes that are necessary for contract performance. Unless otherwise indicated, the City agrees to pay State of Washington sales or use taxes on all applicable consumer services and materials purchased. No charge by the Contractor shall be made for federal excise taxes and the City agrees to furnish Contractor with an exemption certificate where appropriate.
