Common use of Teacher Assault Clause in Contracts

Teacher Assault. Any case of assault upon a teacher in pursuit of his or her duties shall be promptly reported to the administration. The Board shall not prohibit the teacher from exercising his or her legal rights with respect to such assault. A teacher who is the victim of such an assault or severe verbal threats in appropriately carrying out the teacher’s responsibilities shall be assisted by the building principal or the Superintendent in communications and conferences with law enforcement officials.

Teacher Assault. Any case of assault upon involving a teacher or if a teacher is sued as a result of any action taken by the teacher while in pursuit of his or his/her duties employment, it shall be promptly reported in writing to the administrationBOARD through the building administrator. The Board BOARD shall not prohibit provide legal counsel to advise the teacher from exercising his or of his/her legal rights and obligations with respect to such assault. A matter and shall promptly render all reasonable assistance short of providing an attorney to the teacher who is in connection with handling of the victim of such an assault or severe verbal threats in appropriately carrying out the teacher’s responsibilities shall be assisted incident by the building principal or the Superintendent in communications and conferences with law enforcement officialsand judicial authorities.
