Telemedicine Services. A. Coverage shall be provided for the use of interactive audio, video, or other electronic media for the purpose of consultation, diagnosis, or treatment of the patient. B. Benefits for telemedicine shall be provided by a health care provider to deliver health care services within the scope of the provider's practice at a site other than the site where the patient is located. C. Benefits for telemedicine are not subject to any annual dollar maximum or annual visit limitation. D. CareFirst BlueChoice shall not exclude a service from coverage solely because the service is provided through telemedicine and is not provided through face-to-face consultation or contact between a healthcare provider and a patient for services appropriately provided through telemedicine.
