Temporarily Disabled Employees. A. When an employee claims to be temporarily disabled and prevented from performing his/her usual and customary duties, and requests modified duties, the State may require medical substantiation of the condition. B. Consistent with the State’s Reasonable Accommodation Policy, the State shall attempt to provide alternative duties within the individual’s medical restrictions and classification, dependent on availability of work and funding. C. Any disputes arising out of this section may only be appealed through the SPB’s Reasonable Accommodation Appeals Process. This section is not subject to the grievance and arbitration procedure of this Contract.
