Common use of Temporary Duties Assumed Clause in Contracts

Temporary Duties Assumed. Any employee who is temporarily transferred to another position (either in or out of the bargaining unit) will be paid their regular rate of pay during the time they are in the temporary position unless the regular rate of pay for the temporary position in another classification is higher than the employee's regular position. In such case, the employee shall be paid the higher of the two rates for the duration of the temporary assignment.
