Common use of Term of Master Agreement Clause in Contracts

Term of Master Agreement. 4.1 The term of this Master Agreement shall commence upon execution by the Sheriff or his designee as authorized by the County Board of Supervisors and shall terminate on , unless sooner extended or terminated, in whole or in part, as provided in this Master Agreement. 4.2 The County shall have the sole discretion to extend the term of this Master Agreement for up to three additional three-year option periods, for a maximum total Master Agreement term not to exceed 12 years. Each such option period shall be exercised at the sole discretion of the Sheriff or his designee as authorized by the County Board of Supervisors, and shall be in the form of a written Amendment in accordance with Paragraph 8.1 (Amendments and Change Orders) of this Master Agreement. 4.3 The County maintains a database that tracks/monitors contractor performance history. Information entered into this database may be used for a variety of purposes, including determining whether County will exercise a Master Agreement option period. 4.4 Contractor shall notify the Department when this Master Agreement is within six months from the expiration of the term as provided for hereinabove. Upon occurrence of this event, Contractor shall send written notification to the Sheriff’s Department at the address herein provided in Exhibit A (County’s Administration) to this Master Agreement.
