Common use of Term of Recognition Clause in Contracts

Term of Recognition. Recognition of the Union as the sole and exclusive representative of members of the above defined bargaining unit shall be for the term of this contract without challenge as provided for in Section 4117 of the Ohio Revised Code and will continue thereafter until and/or unless a challenging employee organization is legally successful in gaining exclusive representation rights as provided in 4117 of the Ohio Revised Code.
