TERMINATION FOR INCOMPETENCY AND LAYOFF. It is understood that discharge for incompetency shall occur only at the end of the employee's current workweek. Discharges for reasons other than incompetency may occur at any time without reference to the work schedule. A layoff shall occur only at the end of an employee's posted schedule.
