Test Format. There are two types of tests: Academic module and General Training module. Both modules are comprised of the Listening Test, Reading Test, Writing Test, and the Speaking Test. The content of the Reading and Writing Tests differ between the Academic and General Training modules. Individual organizations have different requirements. Make sure you check which IELTS test the organization you are applying to recognizes.
