Textbook. Each student will be required to purchase the assigned textbook for the class; the title will be announced the week before class begins, and can be special ordered from the FIU bookstore, or purchased from your preferred bookseller. The book is mandatory for class.

Each student must make it a point to keep their book with them at all times. Replacement for lost or stolen textbook is $33 and can be purchased at the reception counter. Workbooks are also available to purchase for study purposes. Textbooks are to be returned in good condition on the final day of class. Failure to do so will result in collection action against you.

Textbook. Your book is required to have a sturdy cover at all times. This can be a book sock, brown paper bag, etc. If a cover is torn, it needs to be replaced. In this class, we use a series of several smaller textbooks. As such, it is important that you listen to directions and use the correct book.

The Instructional Materials may also include the following: • Novels, manuals and workbooks designed to be annotated bystudents. • Instructional support tools such as musical instruments, kits orgraphing calculators. o Out-of Scope "Instructional Materials" include: • Library books • Dictionaries/thesauruses o HSS and CPS will work together, utilizing/leveraging the "First 6" prototype, to create a "Title List" that will be a comprehensive list of all Instructional Materials that will be counted and/or barcoded. This list may evolve during the district-wide inventory process to account for materials not found in the prototype.
