THE GROUP SHALL. a. Pay the AGREEMENT fee, in the amount of $270 to COUNTY to offset the COUNTY’s costs for the Adopt-A-Road Program. This fee shall be waived if the GROUP is a nonprofit group. b. Perform litter removal activities adjacent to the roadway, outside of the roadway pavement, along the ADOPTED ROAD SECTION. Litter removal activities are to occur in the grassy areas and/or on the sidewalk next to the ADOPTED ROAD SECTION. c. Not collect litter from construction sites, in tunnels, on bridge over-passes, or in medians. d. Hold a safety meeting with all GROUP participants before each litter removal activity. A GROUP representative shall contact the COUNTY Traffic Division to schedule and attend a mandatory safety orientation to go over the Safety Review Checklist, Attachment A as may be amended, prior to starting the first litter removal activity. The GROUP shall designate a supervisor for each litter removal activity who is responsible for reviewing the Safety Review Checklist with the GROUP participants prior to each litter removal activity and supervise the participants. e. Ensure that, at all times, all GROUP participants are wearing safety vests. If the GROUP does not have safety vests, gloves, nor litterbags, the COUNTY Traffic Division should be contacted to obtain these items at least five (5) working days prior to the litter removal. f. Contact the COUNTY Traffic Division at least five (5) working days prior to each planned litter removal activity to schedule a date and time that does not conflict with any improvement work by or on behalf of the COUNTY, such as with COUNTY’s mowing schedules and to schedule the pick-up of litterbags. g. Subject to the requirements herein, perform a minimum of four (4) litter removal activities within one (1) year, with a recommendation of at least one (1) every three

A. Perform litter removal activities on the AGREEMENT feeAdopted Highway Section in accordance with the Department's Loss Prevention Manual, Chapter 10: Standards for Safe Work Practices; Design Roadway and Standard Index 601, 602, and 611 for interstate; and the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, all of which by reference are incorporated in this Agreement.
B. Conduct and attend safety meetings not less than every six (6) months, which can consist of reviewing the amount of $270 to COUNTY to offset the COUNTY’s costs for the online Adopt-A-Road Program. This fee shall be waived if the GROUP is a nonprofit groupHighway safety video, and hold pre-task briefings prior to each litter removal.
b. Perform C. Remove litter during daylight hours only.
D. Remove litter during good weather conditions only. E. Contact the Department at (Office) (Name) (Work Phone) (Cell Phone) (Fax) (Email) to arrange an appropriate litter removal schedule which will not conflict with Department mowing schedules. Litter removal will be required to be performed a minimum of four (4) times a year; once a quarter is recommended. Consideration should be given to conducting litter removal activities adjacent within the Group's Adopted Highway Section during national and local cleanup events.
F. Ensure that all participants wear approved safety vests at all times during litter removal activities. The Department also should be contacted (see 1.E. above) to the roadwayobtain approved safety vests, outside of the roadway pavementtraffic control signs, along the ADOPTED ROAD SECTIONand litter collection bags at least five (5) days prior to conducting litter removal activities. Litter Vests, traffic control signs, and unused litter collection bags must be returned when litter removal activities are to occur in the grassy areas and/or on the sidewalk next to the ADOPTED ROAD SECTIONcomplete.
c. G. Not collect litter from pick up litter, due to safety concerns, at construction sites, in tunnels, on bridge over-passesbridges or overpasses, or in medians.
d. Hold a safety meeting with all GROUP participants before each H. Allow participation by only persons determined by the Group to be responsible enough to safely participate in litter removal activityactivities. A GROUP representative Participating youths must be at least 12 years of age and the Group shall contact the COUNTY Traffic Division to schedule and attend a mandatory safety orientation to go provide at least one adult supervisor for every 5 youth ages 12-15. There shall at all times be at least one person over the Safety Review Checklist, Attachment A as may be amended, prior to starting the first age of 18 who is on site and generally responsible for supervising all litter removal activity. The GROUP shall designate a supervisor for each activities.
I. Not bring anyone to observe litter removal activity activities who is responsible for reviewing under the Safety Review Checklist with age of 16 and not an official participant in the GROUP participants prior to each litter removal activity and supervise activities.
J. Not wear clothing which will hinder the sight of participants.
e. Ensure that, at all times, all GROUP participants are wearing K. Have the responsibility to call the Department (see 1.E. above) and set up dates and times for Group safety vestsmeetings and litter removal activities. If the GROUP does not have The Adopt-A-Highway safety vests, gloves, nor litterbags, the COUNTY Traffic Division should be contacted to obtain these items at least five (5) working days prior to the litter removalvideo is available for review online.
f. Contact L. Place litter collection bags in front of the COUNTY Traffic Division at least five (5) working days prior to each planned Adopt-A-Highway signs. Upon completion of litter removal activity to schedule a date activities, provide the number of bags collected and time that does not conflict with any improvement work by or on behalf the number of participants involved in the COUNTY, such as with COUNTY’s mowing schedules and to schedule the pick-up of litterbags.
g. Subject to the requirements herein, perform a minimum of four (4) litter removal activities within one (1) year, with a recommendation of at least one (1) every threeto the Department on the attached Exhibit A.
